One of the funnest parts of reproducing antique quilts is finding the perfect reproduction fabrics.
Here is an action shot of the process for my Cheddar Stars quilt.

  1. What a beautiful quilt and repo! Love the Cheddar fabric! Yes it is a challenge to find just the right fabric. I had a lone star center that had been worked on by three generations and the woman wanted me to finish it. It was done in solid colors of green, pink, white, and yellow. I managed to find a pretty good match for the yellow and white. Once it was done it looked pretty good. We are so lucky that there is so much fabric to choose from out in the marketplace!
